The Officers, helpers and instructors consider it a
privilege to be called to work with the young people, and hope that, with
God's guidance, they can advance Christ's Kingdom amongst the boys and young men in Clacton-on-Sea.
The company is divided into three sections, dependent on age.

This is youngest section, for 5-8 year olds, meeting between 6:00pm-7:20pm.
The leaders guide the boys through games, craftwork,
music, stories, and many other activities, to advance them to a state of
readiness to do the 15 tasks needed for the Anchor Triangle Award, and
promotion to the Junior Section in the September after they attain their
8th birthday.

This
section is for the boys aged 8-11, meeting Fridays, between 6:00pm-7:25pm.
The
boys work in their year groups towards their badges, starting with White and
ending in the prestigious Gold. Each badge has several sections and takes
hard work and dedication to achieve it. Each evening can include activities such as marching, craftwork,
games and cooking amongst others.
When the boys have reached the September after their 11th
birthday, they may join the Company Section.

This
section is for 11-18 yr olds, meeting Fridays, between 7:30 - 9:30pm.
The young men in this Section continue to
work towards badges, but with more encouragement to find their own way
around the badge framework, with a gentle nudge in the right direction
from the Officers leading the Section.
There
are also more practical events in this Section which may include training for
Duke of Edinburgh expeditions,
First Aid, leadership training and advanced cooking, to name but a few.
At
the age of 14 the young men may be recommended for promotion to Lance Corporal,
at 15 to Corporal, and at 16 to Sergeant. Attainment of a rank goes
hand-in-hand with the responsibility of helping the younger members of the
Company.
A typical Company/Senior Section evening starts with
prayers and inspection, drill, badge work, games, and coffee-break
discussions.
