In 1993 a decision was taken to remove a number of pews
from the back of the church and build a room which could be used to run
"Coffee Mornings". This work was carried out by members of the
church and the "Friendship Lounge" as it was christened has been used
regularly ever since.
On
Tuesday morning (market day) the doors open between 10:00am - 12:00
noon for anyone to come for a cup of tea/coffee, a chat or prayer.
The church sanctuary is open for quiet prayer.
On Saturday mornings, we open between 9:30am -
12:30pm providing tea, coffee and snacks. It
is not unusual to provide between 70-80+ orders during the morning.
Many of our regular visitors regard us as "their" church, and a number
of our members originally entered the church through the Open Doors
Ministry or the Saturday Coffee Mornings.
