In association with other churches in Clacton, we have a rota of people
who help to run the "Soup Run" in one of the town centre car parks.
It is held seven days a week, 12 months of the year from 8:00pm - 9:00pm, and
provides hot drinks, soup, and sandwiches to those who need this
help. The number of people who use this facility varies from 12 -
40, depending on the time of year.
The costs are met from donations from the church congregation, and many
of the people we serve on Saturday mornings put their change in the
"Soup Run" jar.
It has been very rewarding to see a number of the users of the Soup Run
pick themselves up and move on to a better life. This includes
homeless people living "rough", alcoholics, drug addicts, etc.
God has been moving in a powerful way through this ministry.
